Millennium Heights Medical Complex, CASTRIES, SAINT LUCIA, hosted a memorable graduation ceremony on October 13th, 2023, to mark the successful completion of its 3rd Emergency Medicine Program and the 1st Emergency Nursing Program. The ceremony was held during the annual Emergency Nursing Week, which was observed from October 8th to October 14th, 2023.
The comprehensive training programs, which commenced on February 13th and concluded on August 20th, 2023, covered a wide range of essential skills and knowledge in the field of emergency medicine and nursing.

The idea to develop a six-month program structure for nurses and physicians was inspired by Sister Louisy. She recognized the need for such training and based her vision on a similar program for Emergency Room physicians initiated by Dr. Labelle. The successful amalgamation of components from both programs allowed them to achieve the six-month target.
