Castries, 7th February 2024 – Millennium Heights Medical Complex (MHMC) is proud to announce its collaboration with Bishop Charles Gachet RC School for Read Aloud Day, taking place on February 7, 2024. This partnership underscores MHMC’s dedication to Patient and Family-Centered Care and community engagement.

As part of MHMC’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive healthcare environment, representatives from the medical complex visited Bishop Charles Gachet RC School to participate in Read Aloud Day activities. Five classes were engaged in interactive storytelling sessions, focusing on books centered around cancer awareness and compassionate caregiving.

Nurse Sirah St. Omer – Inglis, Nursing Manager Paediatrics, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “We are delighted to join forces with Bishop Charles Gachet RC School for Read Aloud Day. By sharing stories that resonate with themes of cancer awareness and caregiving, we aim to educate, inspire, and foster empathy within our community.”

Read Aloud Day serves as an opportunity to promote literacy, empathy, and understanding through the power of storytelling.
