Millennium Heights Medical Complex offers internships or pre-professional training in the Complex’s non-clinical departments to students at a college or university or people who apply independently. The internship aims to offer students meaningful, practical work experience related to a student’s field of study or career interest. It will allow students an opportunity for career exploration; development; a chance to learn new skills; and to apply principles and theories learned in the classroom to a professional environment.
MHMC offers non-clinical internships in the following departments:
- Administrative Departments
- Finance Departments
- Patient Services
- Laboratory Services
- Engineering Department
- Information Technology Department
- Dietetics
- Physiotherapy
These are our application details:
- All internship applications for the summer period must be received by April 30 each year.
- Internship requests outside the summer period must be received at least one month before the required start date.
- Send an application to careers@mhmc.lc.
- Applicants will be carefully screened and interviewed where applicable.
- Students requesting to complete an internship at the Complex
- Students who need to complete an internship for course credit will be given priority during the selection process.
- Interns will be required to complete all necessary forms and acknowledge relevant policies governing employment at MHMC.
- All participants will also be required to follow the company’s guidelines regarding grooming and safety standards applicable to their department of training.
- To complete an internship, interns are required to complete the final school-based evaluation with the department manager.
